The Hawaii Department of Health requires that applicants provide proof of medical insurance coverage for all recommended vaccines. However, there is no requirement for a certain amount for the covid vaccine provider to accept your application; they’ll take what they can get as long as it meets their criteria (and if they run into trouble with one person’s application, it could affect all of them).
Kids can have the covid vaccine at any time of year. They should get it with their routine shots, but if they happen to be spaced out every six months, by all means.
If you’re a kid, the covid vaccine is available at any grocery store in Hawaii. It’s not a requirement for school or daycare, but it’s recommended that kids get their shots well before going to camp or college. (And if your kid does not have the covid vaccine and gets sick anyway, don’t worry—the viral strain doesn’t change from year to year.)

The ” The ” Shingles Vaccine (Cervarix) Trial:”

What are Shingles?
Shingle is an acute viral infection that typically affects older adults. It’s typically characterized by fever, headache, and rash, usually on one side of the face or body. If you contract it, you’ve got about a 50-percent chance of developing shingles symptoms again within six months (and a 30-percent chance within one year). If your immune system isn’t strong enough to fight off this virus once, it’s not surprising that you’re susceptible every time. People with weak or suppressed immune systems are more likely to contract shingles than others. However, anyone can get shingles; even healthy young people have been known to get them — for instance, when living with someone who has had chickenpox in their childhood or when exposed to other viruses in their lives that may have weakened their immunity. Everything except HIV and AIDS will cause you to develop shingles at some point during your life if you live long enough!
